Dermapen 4
Rhinoplasty is one of the most requested aesthetic procedures at Novokliniken and can give you a more harmonious facial profile and boosted self-esteem.

About the treatment
The procedure aims to improve the shape and proportions of the nose in relation to the rest of the face, while in many cases also correcting breathing difficulties caused by structural deviations.
Under the guidance of Dr. Katia Gomes, a specialist in plastic surgery with many years of experience from both Sweden and Brazil, we offer safe and personalized care with a focus on quality, safety, and results that look both harmonious and natural.
Techniques we use
At Novokliniken, we offer several types of rhinoplasty, where the choice of method is adapted to your anatomy, your wishes, and your functional or aesthetic goals:
Open Rhinoplasty
An incision is placed on the columella (between the nostrils), giving the surgeon full access to the internal structures of the nose. Used for more extensive reshaping.
Closed Rhinoplasty
All incisions are made inside the nostrils, meaning no visible scars and often a shorter recovery. Suitable for minor adjustments.
Preservation Teo-rhinoplasty
A tissue-preserving method where the structure of the nose is reshaped without removing tissue. Provides a natural appearance and reduces trauma.
Piezo technology (ultrasonic surgery)
When necessary, we use this modern method to shape the nasal bone with ultrasound, which minimizes the impact on surrounding tissue. It results in less swelling, fewer bruises, and faster healing.
What can be corrected with rhinoplasty?
With rhinoplasty, you can improve both the appearance and function of the nose. Some common changes include reducing or increasing the size of the nose, correcting the width and profile of the nasal bridge, improving the shape of the nasal tip—for example, if it is wide, droopy, or upturned—as well as adjusting the size and shape of the nostrils.
The procedure can also straighten a crooked nose or correct asymmetries while simultaneously addressing breathing difficulties resulting from a deviated septum.
If necessary, cartilage grafts from the nasal septum, ear, or rib are used to build up structures and improve support.
Esthetics and function in balance
Rhinoplasty is not just about aesthetics. Many patients experience an improved quality of life when functional problems such as a deviated septum are corrected. By creating a freer airflow, strained breathing is reduced, which can positively affect sleep, exercise, and daily comfort.
Please note that not all breathing problems can be solved with rhinoplasty, which is why we always perform a thorough medical assessment before any potential surgery.
